NFDI-MatWerk at Microscopy Conference 2025: Supporting Data Solutions for the Microscopy Community

The next stop on the NFDI-MatWerk conference schedule is the Microscopy Conference 2025 in Karlsruhe, where we will present solutions that support microscopy and research data management.

At the WS6 Pre-Congress Workshop, "Research Data Management in Microscopy," organized by our FAIRmat colleagues, Abril Azocar Guzman presented an overview of the ontology initiatives within NFDI-MatWerk tailored to microscopy. She demonstrated how a clear, shared data structure can help scientists locate, share, and combine their results. Volker Hofmann presented the EM Glossary initiative, which develops harmonized definitions for electron microscopy. These definitions make data easier to share and connect across fields, independent of the microscopy system. This work will also be featured as a poster during the conference. These two contributions from Forschungszentrum Jülich demonstrate how NFDI-MatWerk supports the microscopy community.
