The organizers invite the MSE Reserach Data Forum 2025 community to submit abstracts for lectures and posters related to the conference topics. Especially young scientists are encouraged to contribute to the conference.

For the submission of an abstract, no booking is necessary until a contribution is confirmed.

In the MatWerk community, your research goes hand in hand with data. This conference invites you to share how you handle, manage, and shape data – choose one of the following categories to frame your contribution: 

Digital Transformation in Everyday MSE Lab Life:

  • Data Collection and Transfer.
  • Metadata Management.
  • Electronic Lab Notebook – Use and Experiences.

Research Data from MSE Experiments:

  • Planning, Analysis, Preservation, Sharing, Reuse of Experimental Data and used Tools – Developments and Experiences.
  • Data Quality and Standardization (e.g. via Ontologies).
  • Documentation, Structuring and Standardization of Experimental Data.

Research Data from MSE Simulations:

  • Planning, Run, Analysis, Preservation, Sharing, Reuse of Simulation Data and used Tools – Developments and Experiences.
  • Data Quality and Standardization (e.g. via Ontologies).
  • Documentation, Structuring and Standardization of Simulation Data.

Workflows for FAIR MSE Data:

  • Combining Multiple Tools/Solutions into larger Research Data Workflows.
  • Combining Research Data from MSE Experiments and Simulations.
  • Making Research Data Interoperable across Research Groups.
  • Lessons learned from Multi-Group and Multi-Institutional Projects.

AI and Machine Learning for MSE Data:

Submit and manage your contribution

Please select a topic and the type of contribution you would like to submit (lecture, or poster). Enter the title, a short description, and author details. 

Please note that each presentation is scheduled for 12 minutes, followed by 3 minutes for questions and discussion.

You can edit your submission at any time until the final deadline. After submission, you will also be able to upload supporting documents, such as your poster or a PDF version of your abstract.

All documents and presentations must be prepared in English. You are welcome to submit a one-page abstract with one figure using the provided template. This is optional and can also be uploaded after your contribution has been accepted.
