NFDI-MatWerk - Responsive Layout
NFDI-MatWerk – National Research Data Infrastructure for MSE

We support researchers in Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) with FAIR data solutions that enable new discovery.

We envision research data management (RDM) that supports every stage of a project, strengthens collaboration through easier data exchange, and integrates materials data from different techniques, including experiments and simulations.

We invite researchers with all levels of RDM knowledge to engage with an ecosystem of adaptable workflows, services, tools, and guidance that support daily laboratory and simulation work.

Comprehensive Training Material on 'Fundamentals of Scientific Metadata' Now Available

In a significant advancement for educational resources in scientific research, the Helmholtz Metadata Collaboration (HMC) has released comprehensive, high-quality educational material for the "Fundamentals of Scientific Metadata: Why Context Matters" course. This invaluable resource is now available via The Carpentries Incubator.

We are excited to announce that a full set of high-quality educational material for the "Fundamentals of Scientific Metadata: Why Context Matters" course has been released by the Helmholtz Metadata Collaboration (HMC). This comprehensive resource is available via The Carpentries Incubator.

The material, thoroughly tested in multiple online and in-person classes, is designed for immediate use and adaptable for domain-specific applications. It includes:

Detailed instructional concepts.

Example data sets and handouts.

Slide sets and talking points.

Recommendations from creators.

And much more.

This initiative is part of our ongoing efforts to enhance the understanding and utilization of scientific metadata in research. For more information or to access the material, visit Carpentries Incubator and GitHub. Should you have any queries, feel free to contact the following email address.
