The consortium on the National Research Data Infrastructure for Materials Science & Engineering (NFDI-MatWerk) conducted an online survey from 11.07.2020 to 31.07.2020 to learn more about the status and needs with regard to digitisation from the relevant research community in Germany. The result was overwhelming: 536 members of the research community took the time to answer our questions. In their feedback, the survey participants confirmed the urgency and the great expectations for the NFDI initiative NFDI-MatWerk.
