During the presentation, Prof. Dahmen discussed the growing need for compute resources in material science and engineering, which has been driven by the success of Deep Learning technology. He provided insights on how to maximize GPU resources for deep learning tasks, showcasing various efficient utilization methods for research institutes. These methods include renting hardware from cloud providers like Google and Amazon. He explained the solution's resource reservations for both interactive and cluster modes, providing flexible options.
