NFDI-MatWerk’s organizational framework brings together units and committees to ensure strategic planning, coordination, and practical implementation, enabling an infrastructure for easy, efficient, and FAIR management of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) research data.

Decision-Making and Advisory Committees

Lenkungskreis (Executive Board)

Manages the day-to-day operations of the consortium and makes decisions within the Task Areas that affect other Task Areas.

Steuerungsgruppe (Steering Group)

Formal decision-making body of the consortium, responsible for strategic direction, operational oversight, key financial decisions, and changes to the work program of member institutions.

Advisory Board

Provides external expertise and guidance to NFDI-MatWerk, offering strategic advice, reviewing progress, and ensuring the alignment of activities with scientific and industry standards.
