The NFDI-MatWerk (International) Advisory Board is an independent body that ensures that the strategic direction of the consortium is in line with its overall objectives ("Is NFDI-MatWerk on the right track with its strategy?"). Board members advise and accompany the consortium, critically reviewing progress, making new connections and contributing improvements from their own perspective. They also provide a technical review of the NFDI-MatWerk strategy and architecture in the areas of workflows, ontology and infrastructure. Their expertise and insights support the quality and effectiveness of the consortium. The Board meets twice a year, one virtual and one in-person meeting (starting in 2024).
